Home And Vehicle Modifications
RISE is proud to be the administrative agency for adaptive equipment grants in the greater St. Louis area. Home modifications make it possible for families to stay together by adapting their living space with specific assistive devices for adults with disabilities. We provide specialized vehicle adaptations for disabled drivers so they can drive to work, go to the grocery store, or travel with family and friends.
With funding for accessibility renovations, ease of bathroom use remodeling, and other home modifications, children and adults have the freedom to:
- Enter homes via ramp entrances
- See visitors at the door with remote cameras
- Use lifts to get in and out of chairs or beds
- Operate light and appliance switches with ease
- Assist parents with pediatric gait trainers or strollers
- Provide adaptive swings, weighted items, and other sensory tools
Referral Process And Eligibility
With such a high need for sensory, assistive, and adaptive equipment for developmental disabilities, we do our best to help as many residents around St. Louis with specific accommodations. Our staff is happy to guide you through the referral and eligibility process, which typically includes the following:
