A Person-Centered Approach to Hourly Support Services

At RISE Services, Inc., our Community Support Services are carefully designed to support adults with intellectual disabilities by removing any obstacle that limits their ability to lead an independent life. Services are delivered through guided instruction and hands-on support in our clients’ homes and in safe, comfortable community settings. We teach skills for daily living while working alongside clients and their natural supports – family and friends – with the goal of creating greater independence. We introduce a variety of new opportunities where participants can apply what they’ve learned, empowering self-direction and autonomy. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Hourly support is flexible and designed to meet the specific needs of the individual. This can include assistance with daily living tasks (like grocery shopping or meal preparation), community engagement (attending events or classes), transportation support, or help with managing personal schedules and appointments.

The goal of our hourly support is to provide “just enough” help. By offering support only where it is needed, we empower individuals to remain in control of their lives and maximize their autonomy, ensuring they have the tools to live as independently as possible in their own homes and communities.

The schedule is driven by the individual’s needs and preferences. We work with the individual and their support team to create a flexible, consistent schedule that supports their lifestyle, whether they need support for a few hours a week or more frequent assistance with their daily routines.

RISE recognizes and is grateful for our funding partners: the Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH), the Productive Living Board (PLB), and the Developmental Disabilities Resource Board of St. Charles County (DDRB).
