Finding the Right Day Program: A Guide for Families and Adults with Autism

What are the best support services for adults with Autism in Missouri?

A great Day Program can open new doors for adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ABI, or developmental disabilities. At RISE Services, Inc. Missouri, our approach centers on supporting each participant in practical, enjoyable ways. Discover what makes the Day Programs at our St. Louis Opportunity Center stand out and how to identify the program that will best support individual growth.

Understanding Day Programs and Opportunity Centers

When searching for services, look for a program that offers more than supervision. The best Day Programs structure activities to help each person explore their passions, learn new skills, and make meaningful connections.

Our Day Services, offered at our Opportunity Center, provides a range of supports to help individuals work towards greater independence and satisfaction in daily life. These programs are specifically designed for adults with Autism and intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), providing caring teams and tailored resources in a supportive setting.

The Adult Self Program

The Adult Self Program at RISE Services, Inc. Missouri is dedicated to helping adults with disabilities build confidence and independence. Through engaging, goal-oriented activities and personalized support, participants develop self-awareness, self-direction, and the advocacy skills they need to reach their highest potential and lead meaningful, fulfilling lives. We create customized plans for everyone, allowing each day to support an individual’s unique strengths and aspirations.

MAAP: A Focus on Potential

At RISE Services, Inc. Missouri, we also offer the Missouri Adult Autism Program (MAAP), which combines engaging enrichment with evidence-based approaches to behavioral support. The MAAP uses the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to assist adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder or similar behavioral needs. Skilled staff provide coaching and encouragement during:

  • Recreational activities
  • Physical education
  • Social skills training
  • Pre-employment training
  • Community living skills

By focusing on these areas, individuals are able to work toward their own goals, whether that’s greater independence, building friendships, or preparing for part-time employment.

Making Your Choice

At RISE Missouri, we understand that no two journeys are the same. Our Day Programs emphasize flexibility, skill-building, and a strengths-based approach for every individual. If you’re ready to explore a supportive community dedicated to adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and IDD, we invite you to reach out to discover what’s possible. Contact us today to learn more!
