Our independent living programs for adults with learning disabilities include hourly support assistance in our clients' homes and communities. With the Individual Life Skills and Transitional In-Home programs, we work alongside clients and their natural supports — family and friends — teaching practical life skills such as personal hygiene and money management. Individuals at RISE may experience more freedom and independence with adaptive equipment for their homes or in their communities. By providing administrative support for adaptive equipment grants in St. Louis and St. Louis County, we have the privilege of assisting clients and their families as they apply for adaptive modifications such as chair and bed lifts, entrance ramps, and assistive technology, as well as home modifications for bathroom, bedroom, or kitchen accessibility. Our specialized medical department hosts a sensory room where adults with disabilities can try various accessibility tools and equipment.
